What’s new?

January 29th, 2008 by peggie

So what is really new about me now? I’ve been literally domesticated from being a wild cat to house cat. Oh wait.. no, that was last year’s news.

I would like to believe I have not changed that much since I moved to Miri, but that is not what you see. I’m less than often logging into friendster to check out what you guys are up to recently. Forgive me.. I do not have laptop and internet connection at home. I’m still as broke as usual. The more I earn, the less reach my hand. (Is that a curse or what?). The fact that I am so bad with keeping in touch makes it worse.

So how was your new year? Mine was great. Unlike last last year and last last last year… I started the beginning of 2008 being sober! Serious shit I didnt even drink that night! OK that’s a lie. I drank a glass of beer.. that was it. Went to bar just to mark the new year and went straight back home to sleep early so I can wake up early the next morning and enjoy a beautiful 1st of January morning! Isn’t that a great way to spent a new year day?

So my new has been good. I got a new favorite TV series …. HOUSE. I found new interest in Tennis…. and more and more love for Jesus.

If you love Jesus… visit this website. Just a sharing :)

Aight… til then… cheers!

Pontianak in Miri

August 14th, 2007 by peggie

This is not fairly new.

Have you heard of the Pontianak that sits on the top of the tree by the roadside in Miri? So far I have heard 2 versions.

Version 1: There was a lady about to labour on the way to the hospital. She didn’t make it to the hospital due to excessive bleeding and died in the ambulance. During funeral, a black cat jumped over her dead body. According to an Iban, the dead body will turn into "something else" if a black cat jumped over it. The tree where the alleged Pontianak hangs at is the very same spot the lady died while in the smbulance.

Version 2: A lady died and was buried. Few days later, some people scavenging her grave and found out the coffin was empty. They said said she rose again from the dead and became Pontianak. (Wow.. she can too. I thought only Jesus rise after death).

No one can say any of the story is true. Yet again these images was sent to me today.

Could the Pontianak story be true? Or could it be just a criminal plot to frighten and distract public as well as the authority from their activities.

Anyhow and anyways, I guess it is time to call the Mystery Inc. team to investigate.

Scooby-Doo…. Where are you!?
